Composition
This packing is manufactured by FIBRAS Y ELASTOMEROS S.A. from high quality carbon
filaments.
The carbon filament yarns are braided with graphite powder and given a final external treatment
with a mix of special lubricants.
The carbon filament keeps its structure at high temperatures, due to the good thermal conductivity which helps the stuffing box heat dissipation.
Due to the high quality of the carbon yarn, this packing can work at the highest speeds and
temperatures and it can be used in all kind of pumps.
Furthermore this packing, with high mechanical resistance is suitable for use at high pressures,
and could be used in valves.
It is designed for plantwide use in valves and pumps.
It can be supplied also with a wire core for work at high pressures in valves: MG- 420 I
