Composition
This packing is manufactured by FIBRAS Y ELASTOMEROS S.A. from high quality synthetic filaments and
P.T.F.E. filaments which are specially treated with high quality powder graphite It is diagonally braided.
The synthetic filaments which are located in the corners give a high resistance and stability in services
where mechanical performance are required; at the same time, it avoids the abrasion problems caused when aramid fibers are used. The high graphite percentage in the P.T.F.E. filaments ensures a very low friction coefficient and a fast heat dissipation.
Therefore, this packing is very flexible with an excellent behaviour regarding abrasive products and a
great chemical resistance, except some high concentration or very oxidising acids
(sulphuric>60%, nitric >10%).
