Composition
This packing is manufactured by MONTERO from a high quality phenolic filament, vacuum impregnated
with PTFE and a special silicon-free lubricant for food products. It is a clean packing with low friction coefficient and gives an excellent reesult with abrasive products
The packing is diagonally braided with excellent flexibility and chemical resistance except strong acids or
highly oxidant chemicals ( sulphuric> 60% nitric acid >10% ) or strong alkalis.
Its mechanical behaviour provides a better sealing with lower glnad preseure with good fitting to shafts and stuffing boxes.
Contrary to aramid, the filament chemical composition does not suffer severe hydrolysis, so that even in contact with steam at medium pressure and temperature the packing retains its mechanical resistance and good flexibility.
MONTERO PACKING MF 360 is almost an universal packing, developed for the substituion of the obsolte asbestos braids in steam, water chemical products and solvents.
